With over 130,000 subscribers and almost 10,000,000 video hits, the talented singer-songwriter known as Clara C is one of YouTube’s premier stars. Having releasing her debut album, Art in My Heart last year to critical acclaim, the recent UC Irvine decided to hit the road in what is her first full tour. Travelling across North America and stopping in 7 cities, the Shaking Off Silence tour kicked off in our local Vancouver! – AX3 Multimedia
ISA is a concert events company which aims to showcase the brightest and most talented rising artists of this Internet Generation to a diverse, international audience. What started out as a simple idea to empower and unite the Asian-American community has grown into a thriving and popular brand now recognized by thousands of young people of all different races and cultural backgrounds. Its founders, Wong Fu Productions and Far East Movement, are set upon making this grassroots movement not only an undeniable presence in the international entertainment landscape, but a movement dedicated to aiding various non-profits and the surrounding communities around it as well.
I had the opportunity to travel down to Seattle with the AX3 crew to attend the ISA Seattle Concert. The show sold out, with over 1800 people crammed in one venue.
We were unfortunate to not get Media Access at the front of the stage, so all of the photos were taken while in squished between people in the crowd.
Dream Auction 2011 is an annual charity event held by SIFE Simon Fraser at Simon Fraser University. The event invites students and industry professionals from all over Vancouver to participate in an auction fundraiser.
All of the proceeds go to the Canucks Place Children’s Hospice.
Entrepreneurs are of a different breed. They are creators, thinkers, philanthropists, daredevils, and down-right hard-workers. It is only amongst their peers are they able to foster their uniqueness.
This was my second BUZZ event as a photographer, this time with different speakers and a different venue! George Moen, the owner of Blenz Coffee, was among the speakers at the event.
Kristie Yung was also spotted at the event performing a few songs.
On May 28, 2011, people from all over gathered at BLVD22, Vancouver’s newest nightclub to see Toronto’s J.Reyez perform for the first time in the city. Hosted by Pandamonium Productions and BlackStar Entertainment, the event’s MC was famous YouTube celebrity Timothy De La Ghetto (Traphik). Starting off with a meet and greet session that involved other YouTube stars such as J.Reyez and rising Vancouver figure Chengman (aka Boss Nguyen), fans were ecstatic to meet their favourite celebrities.
